AMERICAN HERBAL
DIFFICULTY
Medium
WHAT'S IN IT
40 ml American Mustard Gin
15 ml Green Chartreuse
15 ml honey syrup
2 dashes orange bitters
HOW IT'S MADE
- Fill a glass with ice.
- Add gin, Green Chartreuse, honey syrup and bitters
- Stir gently and strain into a nic and nora glass.
- Garnish with a lemon peel and a cocktail cherry on a skewer.
WHAT IT'S LIKE
The heat and complexity of Green Chartreuse works really well with American Mustard, as the spicy flavours compliment each other perfectly. Orange bitters and lemon peel brighten up what could otherwise become quite a heavy drink.
JAMES' TASTING NOTES
The full recipe of Chartreuse is a closely guarded secret known only to two Carthusian monks, whereas the full recipe of American Mustard is known only to two blokes in a shed.
PERFECT WITH...

American Mustard
American Mustard distils the very essence of the United States - hot-dog mustard and dill pickles - to create something really spectacular - a savoury gin that is both light and warming with a slight sensation of fire on the tongue.
It’s the perfect accompaniment to every traditional American fast food recipe, but we don't recommend using it as a garnish. That would be absurd.
